We needed to make independent beer drinking on Independence Day an obvious choice, knowing that some larger flag-appropriating brands can get more of the attention. And to do our part in solidifying that connection, we created a new national holiday to remind people to buy independent beer for the federal one—National Independent Beer Run Day. Say that 3 times fast. Because it’s on July 3rd. We made the whole holiday thing official: National Independent Beer Run Day was one of less than 30 chosen from the almost 20,000 applications submitted this year.
